Arvind Kejriwal remains silent on Maliwal’s alleged “assault” during the joint news conference in Lucknow, while Akhilesh Yadav asserts that other issues are more pressing

Akhilesh Yadav said there are “more important things” to talk about at a joint news conference on Thursday, while AAP president Arvind Kejriwal declined to comment on the alleged “assault” on Swati Maliwal.

Leader of the AAP Sanjay Singh, who was also present at this news conference, said that politics should not get involved in this matter.

Next he went after the BJP administration, bringing up the issues of the Prajwal Revanna sex scandal, the parade of a nude Manipuri lady, and Maliwal being ‘beaten’ up by police during demonstrations by wrestlers while she was the chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women.

Speaking to reporters about Kejriwal’s alleged attack on AAP Rajya Sabha MP Maliwal, Yadav interrupted Kejriwal by saying, “There are more important things than that.”

“BJP people are not with anyone, it is a ‘gang’ that lodges false cases,” he remarked, unfolding a piece of paper.

After removing the chief of the SP’s microphone, Sanjay Singh claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP should take responsibility for crimes committed against women while they were in power.

The wife of a Kargil warrior was displayed in Manipur in her underwear, and the Prime Minister said nothing. This made the whole nation unhappy. He said that Prajwal Revanna had sexually assaulted hundreds of women and that the BJP had given him permission to leave the nation.

“Swarti Maliwal went to Jantar Mantar to see the protests by the women wrestlers, but the police took her there and beat her up. The PM has spoken nothing about Kuldeep Sengar and Hathras in UP,” he stated.

Maliwal had claimed that Bibhav Kumar, the chief minister of Delhi’s deputy, “misbehaved” with her at his home.

After seeing Maliwal at her home on Wednesday, Singh said, “The AAP is our family.” The party’s stance is evident. Regarding the matters I have brought before you, I would want the BJP and the PM to respond as well. Regarding Swati Maliwal, who was assaulted and dragged when she went to demand justice for the women wrestlers, he (the PM) need to respond. I just want to emphasize that you shouldn’t politicize these problems.
