31 Sites in Bihar Are Raided by the NIA to Expose the CPI (Maoist) Revival Arrangement

According to an official, the NIA searched 31 places in Bihar on Thursday in an attempt to uncover and thwart a plot by members of the banned CPI-Maoist to resurrect their organization in the Magadh zone.

According to a federal agency official, the searches took place at the homes of accused and suspected individuals in Aurangabad, Rohtash, Kaimur, Gaya, and Saran (Chhapra).

The official said that during the searches, it was discovered that leading CPI (Maoist) leaders were involved in a plot to resurrect the organization and its cadres in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) official stated that during the searches, two handguns built in the nation, more than Rs 3.53 lakh in cash, a variety of digital gadgets, including mobile phones, SIM cards, SD cards, and hard drives, and incriminating papers were found.

According to the source, the raids were carried out as a component of an ongoing investigation into two distinct cases that were filed this year.

According to the spokeswoman, the locations where the searches were carried out were found to be the home properties of four CPI (Maoist) commanders who were detained. According to the official, the homes of 27 alleged overground employees, supporters, and sympathizers of the group were also searched.

The official said that the investigations had shown that the four had colluded with other accused individuals to fortify and revitalize the CPI (Maoist) cadres in the Magadh Zone.

Following the arrest of Pramod Mishra, the leader of the Eastern Regional Bureau of the CPI (Maoist), and Anil Yadav, the Sub-Zonal Commander, on August 10, a complaint was first filed at the Tikari police station in Gaya, according to the agency.

Together with other comrades, they were plotting to carry out illegal operations and bolster CPI (Maoist) cadres in the Magadh (Gaya and Aurangabad) region. On August 31, the NIA took over and re-registered the case, according to the spokeswoman.

The second case, according to the official, was first reported on August 7 at the Goh police station in Aurangabad and was then re-reported on September 26 by the NIA.

According to the spokesman, the case concerns the discovery and seizure of two booklets related to the CPI (Maoist) Magadh Zonal Sangathnic Committee, as well as weapons and ammunition, from the accused individuals Rohit Rai and Pramod Yadav.

According to the official, the two were planning illegal acts with their friends and extorting levies from brick kiln owners and contactors in order to fund the violent actions of the CPI (Maoist).
