Bhagalpur Zone: Shear cultivation used to be done in 800 hectares, now paddy will be planted in 1600 hectares

In collaboration with Bihar Agricultural University, Bhagalpuri Shear Producer Association is preparing to cultivate shear in double the area in Bhagalpur, Banka and Munger districts under Bhagalpur region. Farmers have been made aware about this. Not only this, the cultivation of shears done in an organic way further enhanced the fragrance of the clippers. With the increase in the demand of sheared chura and rice, the price is also getting exorbitant. Due to this the enthusiasm of the farmers is being seen. Earlier, where shear was cultivated in 800 hectares in the field, now more than 1600 hectares of land are ready for shearing paddy cultivation.
Research continues to reduce farmers' problems
