BJP Leader and Wife Killed in Bihar's Arrah, According to Police, They Were Hit With Sharp Objects

According to source, an elderly BJP politician and his wife were assassinated late on Monday night in the Bihar city of Arrah.
Mahendra Prasad Singh (67) and his wife Pushpa Singh have been recognized as the dead (65). The pair lived in the city's Katira neighborhood, which is overseen by Nawada police station.

Pramod Kumar, the Bhjpur SP, said: "According to the first findings of the inquiry, the accused killed them by striking them with blunt instruments. We have asked the FSL team to gather proof. The post-mortem was ordered for the corpses."
BJP politician Mahendra Prasad's brother Hira Singh discussed the murder and said that the elderly couple lived alone in the apartment while their three married daughters stayed in various locations.
"On January 26, Mahendra came to my residence. I haven't spoken to him since that time. Their older daughter, who lives in Jamshedpur with her husband, told me. In the past, Mahendra Prasad Singh presided over the BJP youth wing. He also ran for the assembly in 2020 from Rohtas's Karakat district.
