As per the instructions of the district administration, a drive to remove encroachment was carried out at Manjheli Chowk. During this, more than a hundred small and big shops built on the land of the Bihar government were removed.
In the removal of encroachment, mainly the Circle Officer Purnia East Jayant Kumar Gautam, Revenue Officer Munna Kumar, Circle Amin Rajdev, SI Vrinda Kumar of Mufassil police station, Revenue employee Bimal Kumar and dozens of police forces were present. It is being told that the district administration was getting information about the problem of jams on the road due to continuous encroachment on Manjheli Chowk. At the same time, taking the matter seriously, the district administration sent the Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer to take action against the encroachers. After which the Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Rakesh Raman issued an order to the Circle Officer Jayant Kumar Gautam to remove the encroachment. After which, Circle Officer Jayant Kumar reached Manjheli Chowk with the police force and removed hundreds of shops built on the road by bulldozers. There was a wave of happiness among most of the people due to the removal of the same encroachment. Villagers said that due to the encroachment on Manjheli Chowk, people were facing a lot of trouble. Today people have heaved a sigh of relief as the encroachment is free. It was very important to make Manjheli Chowk encroachment free. Many thanks to the police and administration for this. The same villagers have also requested the Circle Officer to make the land of Manjheli Haat free from encroachment and have demanded that there is a vegetable shop at Manjheli Chowk be installed in Manjheli Haat. The Circle Officer has assured the people that a list of all is being prepared, legal action will be taken against all those who have illegally occupied the Haat of the Bihar government and they will be evacuated soon. Let us tell you that there were many such shops which used to decorate their shop on the road along with the land of the road. Due to this many times, there was a fight with the drivers as well. Whereas, a few months ago, an old lady was assaulted by a domineering fruit shopkeeper for setting up a shop. A case has also been registered in the Mufassil police station regarding the said matter. Taking the same matter seriously, the district administration has issued a letter to free the encroachment. The same Circle Officer Jayant Kumar Gautam said that according to the orders of the district administration, shops located on government land at Manjheli Chowk have been removed. He said that this encroachment drive would be conducted every month. Under no circumstances will any shopkeeper be allowed to set up shop on the road land. If someone forcefully builds a shop on the land, then a case will also be registered against them.
