Every block of Bihar will be given one life-supporting ambulance in the near future. This life saving ambulance will be equipped with all kinds of resources. The ambulance will also have equipment like ICU along with oxygen cylinders. These life saving devices will help in saving the life of the patient during the period of reaching the hospital. In view of the crisis arising out of ambulances during the Corona period, the government has agreed to a plan to provide one life-saving ambulance to all 534 blocks.
Government preparing to buy a total of one thousand ambulances
Apart from the ambulance with life support system, 466 other ambulances will also be procured. An amount of more than four hundred crore rupees will be spent on the purchase of a total of one thousand ambulances. According to the information received from the Health Department, there is a plan to provide ambulances to the blocks by December.
132 ambulances have been provided to the districts
At present, the Health Department has provided 132 ambulances and 10 mortuary vans to the districts. From the east, 1137 ambulances are being run in the state. Even after having so many ambulances, there was a shortage of ambulances in the second wave of Corona. After which the plan to purchase one thousand new ambulances was given the green signal. State Health Minister Mangal Pandey says that the citizens of the state do not have to face the shortage of ambulances in an emergency, so it was decided to purchase one thousand ambulances.
