Following Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh, His Mother Submits Nomination From Karakat in Bihar

The mother of Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh, Pratima Devi, has put in her nomination for her son’s independent candidacy for the Karakat Lok Sabha constituency.

Regarding the relocation, neither Singh nor his mother released a comment.

Pratima Devi joined the race as an independent on Tuesday, amidst widespread speculation that her son, a BJP member, will face disciplinary punishment from the party if he does not resign.

The NDA candidate in Karakat is Upendra Kushwaha, a former Union minister and leader of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha.

Senior party officials have persuaded Singh not to run against the NDA candidate after he declined a BJP ticket from Asansol in West Bengal, according to reports.

Before opting to run as an independent, Singh, who submitted his candidacy papers on May 9, reportedly negotiated with opposition parties like the RJD for a Bihar Lok Sabha seat.

Rajaram Singh of the CPI (M-L) Liberation has been nominated by the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan for the seat, which is up for election on June 1.
