LS polls: The son of former Bihar minister Dadan Pahalwan nominates Buxar

May 16, Patna Son of former Bihar minister Dadan Singh Yadav, also known as Dadan Pahalwan, Nirbhay Yadav submitted his candidacy as an independent on Wednesday for the Buxar Lok Sabha seat.

According to sources, Dadan Yadav want to take precautions in case his candidacy is rejected by the Election Commission. They said that Dadan Yadav’s son Nirbhay Yadav would run for office from Buxar if his nomination is revoked.

Actor Pawan Singh of Bhojpuri fame used a similar tactic in Karakat, where his mother Pratima Singh submitted the nomination on Tuesday.

A quadrangular fight is expected to take place in Buxar with the nominations of Dadan Yadav and former IPS Anand Mishra. Previously, the primary struggle was between RJD’s Sudhakar Singh and BJP’s Mithilesh Tiwari.

Since Brahmins are thought to dominate the Buxar constituency, Tiwari of the BJP is in a stronger position. But Anand Mishra, a fellow Brahmin, is there, which means it’s going to be difficult for the BJP candidate. Similar to this, Singh of the RJD seemed certain given the significant number of Muslim and Yadav (MY) supporters in Buxar, but Dadan Yadav and his son have since altered the polling arithmetic.

In Buxar, the seventh and last round of the Lok Sabha elections is scheduled to take place on June 1.
