Surveillance arrested the former chief on charges of scamming in development schemes in Samastipur

Urmila Devi, former head of Siwasingpur Panchayat of Mohiuddinnagar block, has been arrested by the team of Monitoring Investigation Bureau, Patna. The arrest was made at his house on Thursday morning. The police of Mohiuddinnagar police station were also with the surveillance team. According to the information, Manoj Tiwari, the former chief of Siwasingpur Panchayat, reached the Janata Darbar of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and complained that the amount has been embezzled in Siwasingpur Panchayat by looting and looting various development schemes including MNREGA. On his complaint, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed the Monitoring Investigation Bureau, Patna to investigate it. It was examined in the light of the order. When the matter of embezzlement of funds came to light in the course of the investigation, case number 78/2009 was registered in the Monitoring Investigation Bureau, Patna. In this, the then Mukhiya Urmila Devi, Deputy Mukhiya Raghunath Thakur, Panchayat Secretary Laxmi Ram, Rozgar Sevak Randhir Kumar, and Junior Engineer Amresh Thakur were accused. The monitoring department's team has already interrogated the former chief by taking him into custody.

Here, after reaching Siwasingpur on Thursday morning, former chief Urmila Devi was arrested by the monitoring department team and taken to Patna. At the time when this arrest took place, there were also local police under the leadership of Mohiuddinnagar police station chief Umesh Paswan. Mohiuddinnagar SHO said that the team of Monitoring Investigation Bureau Patna has arrested the former chief in the case of embezzlement of money and took it with him. Here, after nearly 13 years, after the arrest in the case of embezzlement of development funds of the Panchayat, there has been a stir among other public representatives. Since morning, discussions are taking place in other panchayats including Siwasingpur.
