420 post offices in 13 districts linked to core banking

In Rajasthan circle of postal department, all 420 departmental post offices have been connected with cent percent core-banking network in 13 districts under Postal Department, Southern Region Ajmer, beating Jaipur, Jodhpur. It will prove beneficial for the common man. Now in this new era of technology, post offices will be seen working like banks and other financial institutions. The department had started a special drive in July to connect all post offices with core banking for post office savings bank services and various other products, which was completed in August. Under the Department of Posts, Rajasthan Southern Region, 420 post offices of Ajmer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Tonk, Bundi Kota, Jhalawar, Baran, Dungarpur and Banswara districts of the Postal Department have been connected with the core-banking network. Consumers will be able to avail core banking services.

These facilities will be available to the general public

Due to the completion of core-banking work of all the departmental post offices under Ajmer region, the general public/post office customers/account holders will be able to get the benefits of all the schemes of the department in their nearest post office. Every post office account holder can get his account operated from other post offices also. Transaction facilities will be available in every post office with immediate effect. Facility of providing ATM card will also be available. Internet-banking facility will be available in the post office. Premium for postal life insurance policies can be deposited in every post office, which will be immediately updated in the policy.
