5 New Camera Features Will Be Available With The New Flagship Google Pixel 8 Pro

Now that Google has made the Pixel 8 series official, it has disclosed a number of camera-related improvements that the Pixel 8 Pro, in particular, will get both at launch and in the future.

Although a new 48-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 50-megapixel primary camera have been added to the camera hardware, the modifications to the Pixel devices mostly pertain to software, notably generative AI-powered software capabilities.

Let’s examine the new camera functions that the Pixel 8 Pro will have in this section.

Pro Controls

The ISO, white balance, shutter speed, and focus settings on Pixel phones could not previously be changed since there was no specific manual mode. However, customers will be able to alter these settings with the Pixel 8 Pro, providing them more control over the pictures they take. They won’t have to depend on their smartphone any more to choose the settings. Google adds that even when shooting in manual mode, Pixel 8 Pro photographs will still benefit from HDR+.

Video NightSight and Video Boost

Google will now include films in its HDR+ picture processing pipeline. Users now have access to HDR+ video capabilities because to Tensor G3 and Google’s data centers. Similar to how NightSight improves low-light images, Google will also make low-light movies better by using the same techniques. This gives players more freedom to choose their shooting environment.

two exposures

Both the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro will support this function. It is intended to produce videos that are crisper and noisier-free under difficult lighting conditions. Google does this by taking two photographs at once, one with a large dynamic range and the second one tailored for low light.

Audio Magic Eraser

Have you ever made a video that has grating ambient noises like baby wailing or automobile horns? With the Audio Magic Eraser, Pixel 8 series phones enable users to remove unwanted sounds from their videos using the Google Photos app.

Best Take

Users may take a series of images that are similar and are shot near together using the finest Take function, which enables the automated construction of a blended image with everyone’s finest expressions. This is particularly helpful when shooting groups of people since it’s highly likely that someone may blink or have a less-than-ideal face. Additionally, users may manually choose other facial expressions from additional photos of the same group of individuals. Google’s machine learning and AI algorithms fuel this functionality.
