78-day salary bonus announced by the government is a Diwali bonanza for railroad workers

The payout of a Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) of 78 days’ worth of salaries to qualified non-gazetted workers of the Indian Railways for the fiscal year 2022–2023 has received sanction from the Union Cabinet.

This notification will be helpful to railway employees such as Track Maintainers, Loco Pilots, Train Managers (Guards), Station Masters, Supervisors, Technicians, Technician Helpers, Pointsmen, Ministerial workers, and other Group ‘C’ workers. Personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) are not included in this bonus distribution.
