As Google plans to introduce this new technology, Android users may not need to manually enable “Airplane Mode”; Details

A new Connected Flight mode for users is reportedly being considered by Google, which has been making significant upgrades to Android and its services. This came after the company filed a new patent, about which the Android Authority had originally written.

Connected Flight Mode: What Is It?
As a result of the corporation filing a patent application with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), it is claimed that the new function would provide customers access to a more competent Airplane mode. When the function detects that the user is in the aircraft, it will immediately activate the Airplane mode. Furthermore, as soon as the user touches the ground, it will switch back to regular mode. Users have up to now had to manually activate and disable it.

According to reports, Android smartphones, tablets, and even computers support the linked flying mode. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections are anticipated to be enabled with the option to adjust the Wi-Fi settings to the precise kind of connection that the airplane would allow.

If it detects a low battery or a shaky network connection, it may disconnect from the network. The research mentions pressure changes, ultrasonic signals, a plane’s Wi-Fi connection, and vacation booking activity as possible triggers.

What Is the Operation of the Google Connected Flight Feature?
The California-based computer firm will get access to the user’s journey history and check-in statuses in order to carry out operations more precisely. It is also said to allow several network options, such as in-flight Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Why Do Connected Flight Features Exist?
Up until now, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other communication technologies had to be explicitly enabled in order to activate flight mode. With the new capability, users won’t be able to carry out any operations manually since Google will take care of everything.
