Due to holidays, Sundays, and the second and fourth Saturdays in October, banks may be closed for as long as 16 days. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announces bank holidays, which are divided into “national” (all branches are closed) and “regional” (for state-specific festivities).
Branches are closed nationwide on Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays.
