New Delhi: According to a recent survey released on Thursday, over 85% of Indian professionals are upbeat about wage increases, job changes, and promotions in 2024.

Approximately 45% of professionals said that they need to upskill in order to take advantage of new chances in their workplace or intended area, according to Simplilearn, an online boot camp for digital skills.

According to Kashyap Dalal, co-founder and chief operating officer of Simplilearn, “a startling 65% of respondents are enrolled in online certification courses, with 97% affirming that upskilling will significantly augment their career prospects by 2024.”

“These statistics underscore the criticality of upskilling, particularly in burgeoning fields such as data science, AI, and cybersecurity, which are poised to flourish in today’s digital economy,” he said.

Professionals from a variety of sectors, regions, and career stages participated in the study.

Sixty-five percent of those looking to upskill said they would rather participate in part-time online programs or courses, highlighting the value of flexible learning opportunities.

The survey concluded that the most in-demand professional skills were data science and business analytics, AI and machine learning, program and project management, cloud computing and DevOps, cyber security, product management, and software development.
