Facebook And Instagram Down? Many Hurry To Share The Update On Other Social Apps

Instagram and Facebook, which are owned by Meta, had a significant outage that lasted for almost an hour on Wednesday. Many users complained about not being able to use prominent social networking applications on their phones for many hours, and Downtector verified the outage of the apps.

The majority of the complaints on the website date from late Tuesday evening in the US and other countries, but some users in India also reported issues with the applications not functioning on Wednesday morning.

While the effect was worse in the US, where hundreds of people were having trouble using these applications, the reports of outages were first received about 7 am on Wednesday in India. While some users were unable to access Facebook on the web, the majority of complaints concerned issues with the app.

The majority of users went to X, which was still operational, as is customary during these outages, and they exchanged updates to find out whether other people were experiencing the same issue.

The Instagram and Facebook accounts of Meta have experienced significant outages before. Back in March, these two applications and other services were unavailable due to prolonged outages that impacted a sizable user base for the affected organizations. In fact, Meta recognized the problems and fixed them.
