Ford Unveils Limited Edition Mustang GTD; Details Inside; Launch Probable By 2024–2025

Ford Motor, a renowned US carmaker, today unveiled the Mustang GTD, a specially created limited-edition vehicle, just in time for the Monterey Car Week in California. The quickest Mustang ever made, the GTD was created with racing in mind. Ford’s first attempt into the realm of supercars with significant racing prowess is the newly unveiled Mustang, which draws design cues from the Mustang GT3 racing vehicle.

Ford Mustang GTD: Visual Specifications
Among the current selection of Mustang models, the Ford Mustang GTD distinguishes out thanks to its brash appearance. Large air intakes, a dynamic bumper, and front wings that are hydraulically actuated set it apart. The aggressiveness of its aerodynamic body package is highlighted by features like the front splitter, enlarged fenders with air vents, new side skirts, an enhanced diffuser, and a sizable spoiler with a DRS system.

Ford made the Mustang GTD lighter by using a lot of carbon fiber in its construction. The 20-inch forged aluminum wheels have a Brembo carbon-ceramic braking system built into them. The tires’ front and rear tread widths are 325 mm and 345 mm, respectively.

Mustang GTD: Interior Specifications
Recaro seats with track optimization are available for the driver and front passenger in the Mustang GTD’s cabin. Steering wheel-mounted 3D-printed titanium paddles make gear changes easier. The rear of the vehicle has room for baggage even though there are no seats there.

Engine: Ford Mustang GTD
According to Ford, the supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine in the Mustang GTD produces 800 horsepower. This engine is coupled with a powerful 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Additionally, the Mustang GTD marks the debut of a dry-sump engine oil system in a road-ready Mustang. By the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025, the Ford Mustang GTD is anticipated to hit the domestic market.
