In comparison to the same time last year, Tata Motors recorded a 5 percent growth in the group’s worldwide wholesales, which includes Jaguar Land Rover, to 3,22,159 vehicles on Friday.
According to the company’s regulatory filing, global wholesales of Tata Motors passenger cars in the April to June quarter of FY2023–24 were 1,40,450 units, up 8% from Q1 FY23.
Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 93,253 units. Land Rover wholesales were 82,929 units, compared to 10,324 Jaguar wholesales during the period.
Global wholesales of all Tata Motors commercial vehicles including the Tata Daewoo line totaled 88,456 units in the first quarter, a 15% decrease from the same time the previous fiscal.
The Sensex’s top gainer on Friday was Tata Motors, which increased by 2.94 percent to settle at Rs. 618.45 on the BSE.
