Google and OnePlus and Oppo collaborate to release Gemini AI 1.0 Ultra on their smartphones

On OnePlus and Oppo devices, Google’s latest artificial intelligence (AI) model will be available. According to the company’s release, Google and smartphone makers have teamed up to provide Google’s Gemini 1.0 Ultra to their handsets.

Later this year, additional features based on the Gemini Ultra platform will also be available on smartphones from OnePlus and Oppo.

“We are excited to ambitiously expand the scope of mobile AI innovations by working with Google to integrate both Gemini and Google Cloud AI into smartphones and by forming alliances with other industry pioneers for a variety of AI experiences,” Nicole Zhang, General Manager of AI Product for Oppo and OnePlus, said in a statement.

Zhang also said that over 10 million users of smartphones like the Oppo Find X7 and OnePlus 12 can now access AI-generated content on the move thanks to the introduction of many generative AI models by Oppo and OnePlus to the Chinese market.

Manufacturers of smartphones have stated that they are developing the ideal setup of hardware, operating system, and environment to support the development of artificial intelligence.

Additionally, the two manufacturers are working with Google to include a range of cloud AI products in their next releases. This implies that AI will be used by OnePlus and Oppo devices in the future for a variety of tasks, including creating original material for social media and summarising audio and news items.

A new artificial intelligence (AI) picture-editing tool called Eraser was just released by OnePlus for smartphone users. According to the business, the functionality is progressively making its way to OnePlus devices, including the OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, OnePlus 11, OnePlus Open, and OnePlus Nord CE 4.

Users may choose and eliminate any undesired elements from pictures in their photo gallery by using AI Eraser. The AI evaluates the chosen region and automatically creates a substitute backdrop that blends perfectly into the surrounding surroundings while retaining the general style of the picture if the user highlights certain things, such as people, garbage, or defects in the image. With the use of this technology, users may easily modify images with little to no work.
