Here’s How to Enable Gesture Navigation on Android Smartphones

It’s important to know how simple it is to switch between applications and settings on an Android smartphone. Many people find the traditional three-button navigation to be pleasant to use. However, with recent advancements in the IT industry, Android-based phones now have gesture navigation. In terms of the three-button gesture, it has existed for a considerable amount of time.

Usually, these buttons are located at the bottom of your screen in a linear arrangement. While pressing the home button brings you to the home screen, pressing the back button returns you to the previous screen. All of the recently launched applications are visible via the recent apps button. However, gesture navigation is a more seamless and effective method of navigating the phone. The ease with which users may swipe around their phone displays makes for a more engaging experience. Here’s how Android phone users may activate gesture navigation:

Select “System,” “Gestures,” and finally “System Navigation.”

When users go to the system navigation, they are presented with three options:

Navigation with gestures: This functionality is button-free.

Two buttons will be included for Home and Back in this feature’s button navigation.

Three buttons will be available for Home, Back, and App Overview in this functionality.

Users are free to roam the phone and swipe between applications after they have chosen gesture navigation.

GESTURE NAVIGATION VS. THREE-BUTTON NAVIGATION: WHICH ONE IS BEST?
The decision between gesture navigation and three-button navigation is mostly based on user preference. Using gesture navigation would be preferable than navigating using the three buttons if the users had a big screen. Gestures may be a faster choice than three-button navigation if the user needs to navigate quickly and multitask.

On the other hand, a more methodical person may choose three-button navigation. Gesture navigation is a great choice for those who like gaming to navigate around the apps.
