Hero MotoCorp is the first car company to join the ONDC Network of the government

Hero MotoCorp, a major player in the two-wheeler industry, said on Monday that it has become the first car manufacturer in the nation to join the government-run Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) Network, further solidifying the Digital India objective.

The firm claims that this relationship would increase reach and convenience by giving customers easy access to a digital method.

Hero MotoCorp CEO Niranjan Gupta stated in a statement, “With ONDC Network, we have pioneered the automotive taxonomy for the auto industry, making it easier for customers to find vehicle parts and accessories to begin with.”

He went on to say that Hero MotoCorp is carrying out the government’s Digital India agenda with this effort and that “we will continue to bring in more innovation in this space.”.

On its platform, ONDC will first sell products, accessories, and components for two-wheelers. Customers may quickly find the authentic components for the industry leader in two-wheelers by using any of the buyer applications available on the network, including Paytm and Mystore, among others, the business said.

“When brands like Hero MotoCorp embrace the Open Network, it reaffirms our vision of driving digital transformation in the country by creating a fair and efficient ecosystem for all kinds of businesses to thrive,” said T. Koshy, president and CEO of the ONDC.

Hero MotoCorp said that it is prepared to provide its more than 115 million consumers with an updated shopping experience via the ONDC Network.
