In June, industrial output increased by 3.7%

In June, India’s industrial output increased by 3.7%, according the official figures issued on Friday.

In June 2022, factory production as assessed by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) increased by 12.6%.

According to information made public by the National Statistical Office (NSO), the manufacturing sector’s production climbed by 3.1% in June 2023.

During the month under review, mining production increased 7.6%. In June 2023, power production rose 4.2%.

When compared to the same quarter in 2022, when the IIP increased by 12.9%, it did so by 4.5% in April–June 2023.
