Jatin Dalal, the chief financial officer of Wipro, resigns; Aparna C Iyer takes over

According to a regulatory filing, IT behemoth Wipro announced on Thursday that its Chief Financial Officer Jatin Dalal will be leaving the business after more than 20 years.

Aparna C Iyer, who has worked at Wipro for the last 20 years, has been chosen to serve as the organization’s next chief financial officer. Aparna will join the Wipro Executive Board and report to CEO Thierry Delaporte. She replaces Jatin Dalal, who is leaving his position as chief financial officer to explore other possibilities, the business said in a statement.

“Aparna is a capable and goal-oriented leader. She has been a vibrant, forward-thinking strategic partner to our business executives over her entire 20-year career with Wipro, according to Thierry Delaporte, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Wipro Limited.

Aparna has been crucial to our financial development over the last several years, contributing significantly to our financial strategy and planning, investment programs, and transformation activities, said Delaporte. Our ability to meet our financial goals will be greatly aided by her dedication to generating long-term value, proficiency across the whole spectrum of finance operations, and experience dealing with a variety of stakeholders.

On Dalal’s departure, he remarked, “I also want to thank Jatin for his contributions to Wipro over his tenure and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Aparna is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a member of the CA 2002 class who won the gold medal. April 2003 saw her entry into Wipro. Over the course of her 20 years with Wipro, she has held a number of financial positions, most recently serving as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Wipro FullStride Cloud. These positions include internal audit, business finance, finance planning and analysis, corporate treasury, and investor relations. Aparna has extensive knowledge in fund raising, capital allocation, driving corporate strategy, and managing financial risk.

“I am delighted to assume the position of CFO at this crucial time for Wipro. In order to build on our achievements, promote sustainable development, and generate value for our stakeholders as we go on with our transformation journey, I look forward to working with Thierry, our finance team, and the whole company, Aparna C Iyer said in a statement.
