Market Cap Of Eight of the Top Ten Valuable Companies Soars To ₹1.10 Lakh Cr; RIL Advances, TCS Rejects

Last week, the market value of eight of the ten most valuable companies increased by Rs 1,10,106.83 crore, with Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) seeing the largest increase.

The benchmark 30-share BSE Sensex increased 716.16 points, or 0.97 percent, last week. The gainers were RIL, ICICI Bank, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), ITC, and Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL); the losers were Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys, whose combined market worth decreased by Rs 38,477.49 crore.

The unchallenged leader is RIL.

Reliance Industries’ market value increased by Rs 43,976.96 crore to Rs 20,20,470.88 crore. The oil-to-telecom conglomerate’s shares reached a new 52-week high of Rs 2,996.15 per share on Friday.

The state-owned insurer LIC saw a value increase of Rs 17,235.62 crore to Rs 6,74,655.88 crore, while ICICI Bank saw a valuation increase of Rs 27,012.47 crore to Rs 7,44,808.72 crore.

The market capitalization (mcap) of Hindustan Unilever Ltd. soared from Rs 4,534.71 crore to Rs 5,62,574.38 crore, while that of ITC surged from Rs 8,548.19 crore to Rs 5,13,640.37 crore.

The capital of State Bank of India, a public sector institution, increased by Rs 4,149.94 crore to Rs 6,77,735.03 crore. On Wednesday, SBI overtook Infosys, an IT giant, to rank as the fifth most valuable corporation in the nation based on market valuation on the BSE.

Tech stocks decline

The market value of HDFC Bank increased to Rs 793.21 from Rs 10,79,286.5 crore, while Bharti Airtel’s increased to Rs 6,34,196.63 crore.

However, the value of Infosys plummeted by Rs 10,527.76 crore to Rs 6,96,045.32 crore, and that of IT giant Tata Consultancy Services fell by Rs 27,949.73 crore to Rs 14,66,030.97 crore.

As the most valuable company, Reliance Industries remained at the top, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, LIC, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, and ITC.
