Encrypted messaging app Signal is testing a new payment feature with the help of which users will be able to make payments. However, here the signal does not want users to link their bank account or debit card for this. In such a situation, the company will be dependent on cryptocurrency. The feature is not currently available and is in beta build. This feature is only available in the United Kingdom, where it may take a long time to enter other markets.
In a blog post, the company said that, the latest signal beta is rolling out today. In this, you will get strong performance. At the same time, we have also tried to fix some problems. If you live in the United Kingdom, you will get support for signal payments. With its help, you can send and receive payment.
Signal is testing its payment feature here with One Protocol, which is a MobileCoin wallet. This wallet has its own currency which is MOB. It was told in the blog post that, you have to link the MobileCoin wallet with the signal and then you can pay with your friend and family members. The company made it clear here that, Signal will not keep information about your funds. Here only the sender and receiver will have information about the transaction.
In signal payments, along with making payments, you can also track your balance, check the transaction review history. The company wants to make it clear here that it does not want to keep the data of the users with itself, but only with the users. On the other hand, if a user wants to transfer his money from the signal platform to another app, then he can easily do it.
