Smart Ring for Health Tracking and Contactless Payments from IIT-Linked Startup to Launch Globally

‘Ring One,’ a smart ring with sophisticated health monitoring features and contactless payment capabilities, was created by Bengaluru-based firm Muse Wearables, which was born out of the IIT Madras Incubation Cell.

The international debut of “Ring One” is set for September 27, while the Indian premiere is set for October 25. However, bookings may now be made on the product’s website. The firm claims that “Ring One” is not just a technical wonder but also a symbol of the “Make in India” movement since it was entirely created, developed, and put together in India.

Six essential health indicators may be measured by Ring One, including blood pressure, temperature, respiration rate, heart rate variability, and blood oxygen saturation. Ring One promises clinical-grade accuracy for health information that has been taught with data from more than 4,000 people, claims Muse Wearables.

Ring One monitors sleep and naps, analyzes different phases of sleep, and provides individualized insights to assist with sleep improvement, according to George Francis, Chief Technology Officer of Muse Wearables. In order to maximize your fitness gains, it can also log your exercises and provide you with sophisticated information. It can quantify the effects of your meditation sessions and provide you with individualized advice to lower your stress levels.

But it also provides the ease of contactless payments. Users seem to be able to easily complete purchases with a simple wave of the hand. According to the business, Ring One payments are now available throughout India, the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Singapore, and the UAE thanks to partnerships with major payment networks like MasterCard, VISA, and Rupay.

‘RING ONE’ FEATURES

For all-day comfort, a smartwatch is 10 times lighter:

• Accurate measurement of health data.

• A discrete and fashionable design.

• Operation without interruption.

• Constant health monitoring with a battery life of up to 7 days.

• Quick and easy payment options.

• Blood pressure readings without a cuff.

The charging case of the Ring One has both a cutting-edge “Magic Glyph” interface and a novel “Turn Wheel” interface. With the Turn Wheel, users may switch between different modes with a simple turn of the smart ring’s outer band. For example, a turn to the left can start an exercise mode, while a turn to the right can allow a safe payment option. As a countdown timer, a sleep alarm, or an indication to alert about the beginning of a wind-down period, Magic Glyph transmits the charging levels.

It is very lightweight while yet being quite sturdy since it is comprised of Titanium Grade 2 and Ceramic (Zirconia). Due to the ring’s 100-meter water resistance, users may swim and take showers while wearing it. This distinctive item is offered in silver, black, gold, and rose gold variations, with limited-edition 18K gold versions on the horizon.

It should be mentioned that Muse Wearables specializes in payment-enabled hybrid smartwatches and now provides service to close to 30 countries via a direct-to-consumer business model. Muse Wearables has registered offices in Chennai, Singapore, and the US. IIT Madras and NIT Warangal alums created this firm, which has received funding from well-known investors.

KLN “The innovative technology that has gone into Ring One makes the benchmark for the Smart Ring industry all over the world,” said Sai Prasanth, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Conzumex Industries, which manages the brand “Muse Wearables.” With its one-of-a-kind “Turn wheel” interface and the brand-new “Magic Glyph” interface on the charging case, Ring One delivers a really distinctive experience that separates it from any other rival smart ring on the market.
