Step-by-Step Guide For Submitting Your Digital Life Certificate When Going Paperless With LIC

Senior people must annually submit a Life Certificate, or Jeevan Praman Patra, to the appropriate organization or Pension Disbursing Authority in order to continue collecting their pension. They may either physically travel to banks or post offices to do this, or they can use the Jeevan Pramaan Face app to create a digital Life Certificate. Three pension schemes from LIC—Jeevan Akshay VII, New Jeevan Shanti, and Saral Pension—are most suitable for older individuals.

A Digital Life Certificate is what?

A digital service using biometric technologies created specifically for retirees is called the Digital Life Certificate (also known as Jeevan Pramaan). Pensioners receiving benefits from federal, state, or local governments, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization, or any other government agency that has adopted the Digital Life Certificate system are eligible for this service.

Pensioners no longer need to physically visit the pension disbursing office to submit their life certificates thanks to this simple service. Instead, people may create their Digital Life Certificate (DLC) online by using the Aadhaar-enabled biometric authentication method.

How does one submit a life certificate for a LIC policy?

The Jeevan Saakshya smartphone application, developed by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), was made to make it easier for LIC staff pensioners and Individual Pension Plan (IPP) annuitants to submit Life Existence Certificates.

Follow these instructions if you wish to submit the Life Existence Certificate digitally via the LIC Jeevan Saakshya app:

Install the LIC Jeevan Saakshya app by first downloading it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Step 2: Open the app and finish the registration procedure by entering your email address or cellphone number.

Step 3: An OTP will be delivered to the cellphone number you registered. For subsequent app logins, enter the OTP and create a four-digit MPIN.

Step 4: At this point, enter the essential information, including your annuity or pension number, birthdate, and the kind of pension you’re choosing, then click the “submit” button.

Step 5: The application will once again give you an OTP to the registered email address or cellphone number. Enter it to give the app access to your insurance information.

Step 6: To create your Life Existence Certificate, click ‘Proceed’ after that. You have the option of using DigiLocker or Aadhaar to verify.

Step 7: The app will use the camera on your smartphone to snap a picture of your face.

Step 8: Carefully review all the information you entered before clicking “Submit.”

Step 9: A screen will show your digital certificate of existence.

You may also create a Life Certificate using the LIC Jeevan Saakshya app as a facilitator. To achieve this, you must supply information about the facilitator along with necessary specifics such the pensioner’s Aadhaar and insurance details.
