Users of Instagram and Facebook are impacted by a massive outage, and Meta is racing to fix problems with commercial goods

Users of Facebook and Instagram have reported significant disruptions on both networks, which began early on May 15. On the morning of May 15, Downdetector, a crowdsourced outage tracking service, saw surges in the number of people unable to access social networking sites by Meta.

Although most users’ access to the service has been restored, there are still problems with Meta’s corporate products, as stated on the official status page.

Ad Manager Failure
An issue that affected the creation and editing of advertising was resolved by Facebook engineers. It was difficult for advertisers to post new advertisements to the site or change ones that they had previously uploaded.

The way ads were delivered was also severely disrupted. Additionally, advertisers had trouble seeing or gaining access to information detailing the dispersion of their advertisements. According to Facebook, all of these issues have been resolved, and business users may now submit and modify advertising in addition to seeing reports.
