Vipul Chandra is appointed Chief Financial Officer at LTIMindtree

Vipul Chandra has been named by LTIMindtree’s Board of Directors as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective April 25, 2024. The announcement was made on Thursday. He will take over for Vinit Teredesai, the CFO of the business since June 2020, who has chosen to follow his career goals outside of the organization. Vinit’s term as CFO will expire on April 24, 2024.

The Board of Directors would want to officially express their gratitude for Vinit’s contributions to the firm throughout his time there. Vinit joined the former Mindtree during the pandemic and, by putting in place robust financial controls and governance, he was instrumental in the company’s successful expansion. In a statement from the business, it was said that “He also made a significant contribution to the successful merger of LTI and Mindtree and continued to serve as CFO after the merger.”

With over thirty years of experience, Vipul Chandra has worked in banking operations, treasury management, risk management, and financial markets. Since joining L&T in October 2013 as the Head of Treasury in Corporate Finance, he has played a key role in spearheading the organization’s efforts in financial risk management across the group, resource mobilization, working capital, and capital structure and allocation. Additionally, he has made a substantial contribution to the successful completion of a number of important financial transactions, including share buybacks, OFS, IPOs, and business portfolio divestitures.

He was employed by Citibank in India as a Managing Director, Head of Corporate Sales, and Head of Structuring for the Global Markets division before joining L&T. He has a post-graduate diploma in management from IIM Calcutta and is an engineer from Delhi College of Engineering with a focus on electronics and communication.

One of the main areas of concentration for the L&T Group is leadership planning, according to AM Naik, Chairman of LTIMindtree. We make sure that essential personnel has experience in a variety of jobs inside the system via career progression mapping. For over ten years, Vipul Chandra has held a number of prominent positions inside the company. With his three decades of expertise and extensive understanding of the L&T Group, we are certain he would oversee the financial department of LTIMindtree well. Additionally, I want to thank Vinit Teredesai for his effort and wish him well in all of his future undertakings.

“I would like to welcome Vipul to LTIMindtree and I am sure that his long association with the L&T Group would provide immense value to LTIMindtree,” stated Debashis Chatterjee, CEO & MD of LTIMindtree. Additionally, I want to express my gratitude to Vinit for his role in the organization’s success and send him my best wishes for the future.
