X: Per Election Commission order, certain postings were withheld

Delhi, New: After the EC ordered their removal, social networking site X announced on Tuesday that it had withheld some political postings from India. It did, however, state that it was against the directive. CEO Elon Musk has hinted that in order for new X users to be able to like, post, and react, they would need to pay a modest monthly subscription.

Registration for NEET PG opens.

New Delhi: The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Postgraduate) (NEET PG) 2024 registration period opened on Tuesday, according to the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). Applications will be accepted until May 6. On June 23, the test will take place, and on July 15, the results will be announced. TNS

Coast Guard pulls a stranded vessel out

New Delhi: On Tuesday, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) rescued the Indian fishing vessel Rosary that had been stranded 215 nautical miles (380 km) off the coast of Karwar, Karnataka, due to an engine failure. On April 13, the boat sent a distress call, and the ICG ship Savitribai Phule reacted and made contact despite rough seas. The ICG ship’s boarding crew attempted, but was unable, to resolve the issue. They pulled the boat in the direction of Karwar.

ISRO creates a rocket engine nozzle.

Bengaluru: The ISRO said that it has developed a lightweight carbon-carbon (C-C) nozzle for rocket engines, increasing payload capacity, marking a technological achievement in rocket engine technology. According to the space agency, this discovery at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre promises to improve critical rocket engine metrics, including thrust levels, specific impulse, and thrust-to-weight ratios, which would increase launch vehicles’ cargo capacity.
