Zee begins a 15% personnel reduction

ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. said on Friday that Punit Goenka, the company’s managing director and CEO, has started a 15% workforce rationalization exercise to reduce the number of employees across the whole organization.

ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) said in a regulatory filing that Goenka has suggested to the board a lean organizational structure with a lateral structure, designating broadcast, digital, movies, and music as primary business areas.

3,437 people work at ZEE as permanent workers, according to the company’s annual report for 2022–2023.
