Actor Attends Kartik Aaryan’s Uncle and Aunt’s Funeral After Their Death in Mumbai Hoarding Collapse

Almost sixteen people lost their lives after a 120 by 120-foot billboard fell on a gas station in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar neighborhood on Monday night as a result of strong winds and unusually heavy rainfall. According to reports, relatives of Kartik Aaryan perished in the fall.

The Indian Express said that on May 13, 2024, Kartik Aaryan’s uncle Manoj Chansoria and his wife Anita made a stop at a gas station in Mumbai. On May 13, the pair was scheduled to travel via Indore back to Jabalpur from Mumbai. Strong gusts at 4:30 p.m. caused a 250-ton hoard to fall upon their red SUV at the gas bunk. After the accident, 56 hours passed before their remains were recovered. The precise time and day are yet unknown.

Manoj and Anita were purportedly in Mumbai to finish the documentation for their visa so they could see their son, Yash, who lives in the US. When Yash lost communication with his parents in the evening, he contacted his father’s coworkers right away on Monday morning. According to the report, their son had been attempting to get in touch with them since May 13 at 5 p.m. He couldn’t get through to Manoj, and because Anita wasn’t picking up, he sent out an assistance request to his father’s colleagues.

They were able to locate their final position in Ghatkopar, close to the Eastern Express Highway, with the assistance of Mumbai police. They eventually located the victims, wedged behind the fallen hoarding, after searching for hours.

When Yash heard this, he took out from the US right away. On May 16, their final ceremonies took place at Sahar. On Thursday, the last ceremonies were performed at a Sahar crematorium. Kartik Aaryan reportedly went to the burial as well. Kartik Aaryan’s relative is Manoj Chansoria, a retired general manager from the Airports Authority of India. The pair hailed from Jabalpur.

On the professional front, Kartik Aaryan is getting ready for the premiere of Chandu Champion, his much-awaited movie. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on June 14.
