Addressing the contentious Glastonbury performance she gave despite being late

Singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey finally spoke out about her contentious, shortened Glastonbury performance, saying, “Sorry about that.”

According to Mirror.co.uk, the singer’s act last month began late because she violated the stringent festival curfew. As a result, her microphone was turned off by festival organizers.

The ‘Summer Time Sadness’ singer made light of the issue that had her fans in tears the previous night as she performed at London’s BST Hyde Park on Sunday night (local time).

I suppose here is when I was cut off last time,” Lana jokingly said as she introduced her song “Diet Mountain Dew.” I apologize for it. It’s worth it if the power goes out, she said just before her last song, “Video Games,” in reference to the Worthy Farm concert.

According to Mirror.co.uk, Lana was scheduled to take the stage at 8:40 p.m. She took the stage at 9 p.m. and completed performing just before the 10:30 p.m. curfew, so she was just 20 minutes late.

Lana said she was delayed having her hair done at Glastonbury when she took the stage 30 minutes late. She was scheduled to enter the Other Stage at 10.30 p.m., but she didn’t leave until after midnight.

As there is a severe midnight curfew at Glastonbury, Lana’s performance continued beyond the scheduled finish time of 11.45 p.m. Fans even threatened to leave if she didn’t arrive in good time, and when she finally came, the audience booed her as she entered the stage.
