After learning of Narendranath Razdan’s death, Alia Bhatt says, “Until we meet again”

Narendranath Razdan, 93, who was also Soni Razdan’s father and the grandpa of Alia Bhatt, died away in Mumbai on June 1. The actress released a video from his 92nd birthday festivities on Instagram as a tribute to her “hero” from a year ago. Ranbir Kapoor can be seen in the video blowing out the candles on Alia’s birthday cake while her grandpa advises her to “smile all the time.”  

Alia posted her tweet in which she stated, “My grandfather. My role model played golf till he was 93, worked until he was 93, made the finest omelette, told the best tales, played the violin with his great granddaughter, loved cricket, loved drawing, loved his family, and until his dying breath.. enjoyed his life! Because everything my grandfather did was bring us pleasure, I feel privileged and happy to have been raised by all the light he had to share. As a result, my heart is both full of grief and joy. Until we next cross paths.

The news of her father’s passing was also conveyed by Soni Razdan, who said, “Daddy, Daddy, Grandpa, Nindi – our Angel here on earth. We are very grateful to be able to call you our own. So thankful to have spent a life in your illuminating light. I feel very privileged to have experienced the kindness, love, gentleness, and constant vitality of your spirit. Although you took a portion of us with you, your spirit will always be a part of us. We are all inhabited by it, and it will forever serve as a reminder of what it is to be alive. You’ve made everywhere you are a happier place with that lovely laugh of yours. Until we meet again, we adore you, stupid, lovely, wonderful guy. Somewhere across the rainbow, obviously.”

Alia’s friends and supporters will soon convey their sympathies. “Sending you a massive hug,” said Karan Johar in his response. Masaba Gupta added, “The best @aliaabhatt love you’ll,” to her tweet.

For those who are unaware, Alia missed the IIFA Awards since her grandpa was taken to Breach Candy Hospital last week. Even Alia and Ranbir’s wedding in 2022 included him.
