The director Anurag Kashyap claims that he “used to identify with porn” and that “people watched my films secretly”

Anurag Kashyap is recognized as one of Indian cinema’s most talented directors. He recently spoke up about his early professional hardships, noting the difficulties he had getting his movies released in theaters and even how some of them ended up on unofficial channels. He revealed how some have questioned his morality and character by doing so.

Anurag confirmed that many of his unreleased films wound up on pirate websites when Cyrus Broacha brought it up on his podcast, Cyrus Says, and added, “That’s the story of my life.”

People used to approach him and say, “Aapki film dekhi (Saw your film),” and he would respond, “But where did you watch it?” When I was younger, I used to connect with porn because I believed that others were secretly watching my flicks.

Anurag said that when his films were shown, many had concerns about his “morality and character”. “Back then, the critics used to be like, ‘What kind of a guy is this?'” he said.

Anurag Kashyap has the opinion that he would never win a National Award since he has repeatedly spoken his opinions against the administration. Anurag said, “I will never receive a National award,” during the interview. With every administration, I have battled. Over time, you develop the ability to fight. because you are capable of fighting. because your movie cannot be edited by censors. They aren’t permitted to.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the main part in Anurag’s most recent acting project, “Haddi,” which is playing in theaters. This movie, which was directed by Akshat Ajay Sharma, is streaming on ZEE5.
