‘Always’ dreaming of a daughter, Paris Hilton is ‘thrilled’ to have one finally

The socialite Paris Hilton, who just had daughter London and shares 10-month-old Phoenix with husband Carter Reum, is overjoyed to be a parent once again.

“London is a lovely addition to Paris and Carter’s family. They’ve always desired a little daughter, an insider told UsWeekly.

The former “Simple Life” star first raised rumors that she had given birth to her second child earlier this week when she shared a photo of herself wearing a pink outfit with the word “London”—a name she has frequently stated she would choose for her child—next to a teddy bear and a pair of tiny red sunglasses. The image was captioned, “Thankful for my baby girl,” by her.

Along with the pictures she uploaded to her Instagram Story from her Thanksgiving festivities, Paris also included a picture of Phoenix with the remark, “The big brother.”

The socialite has previously said that she had long desired to have a daughter named after the capital of England.

Before giving birth to her son, she said in a “This is Paris” podcast titled “This is… I’m Pregnant??” that she hoped to have a little girl one day and would call her London. I have always loved London and Paris together, therefore it has been my goal since I was a young child.”

“I want to name a boy after a city, a nation, or a state as well.” I want to keep it a secret and don’t want someone to use my baby name for that one, so I have a name, but I won’t reveal it just yet. I can’t really conceal that one right now since I’ve been saying London for a while.”

After confirming Phoenix’s name, she said she had picked a name that would go well with London. According to aceshowbiz.com, she shared a passage from her forthcoming book “Paris” during a podcast interview.

“By the time you read this, Carter and I should be expecting a son. We want to give him the name Phoenix, which I chose years ago when looking up states, towns, and nations on a map to match Paris and London.”

“The phoenix is a bird that burns out and then rises from the ashes to fly anew, but it also has a few interesting pop culture allusions. I want my kid to understand as he grows up that life is full of setbacks and victories. We should have a lot of optimism for the future because of this.”
