‘Barsatein’ and ‘I Was Looking Out For Something Good’ mark Kushal Tandon’s return to television

Actor Kushal Tandon, who will return to television with “Barsatein” after a six-year absence, said that he wasn’t searching for a “deliberate” decision to avoid the silver screen, but rather something significant.

The romantic drama “Barsatein-Mausam Pyaar Ka” examines the conflict between two obstinate people, Reyansh Lamba (played by Kushal) and Aradhna Sahni (played by Shivangi Joshi). In this captivating story, which is set in a newspaper, the passionate couple spar as they get entangled in a confusing web of feelings.

Reyansh, played by Kushal, is a heartbreaker with a mysterious demeanor, and Aradhna, played by Shivangi, is a driven and ambitious young lady with a love for journalism. Despite knowing better, Aradhna finds herself drawn to the dapper and seductively alluring Reyansh, and thus their tumultuous romance starts.

Regarding what convinced him to accept the offer, Kushal said: “Staying away from the silver screen wasn’t intentional; I was searching for something worthwhile and significant. In the meanwhile, I was working on my own restaurant concept in addition to being a part of two online series and one OTT movie.

The pandemic occurred when I was preoccupied with all of these obligations, and I also had an injury that required six months of bed rest. Later, Ekta ma’am came up to me and told me that she had a program just for me. She continued by saying that this program is especially developed for me. I choose this program because it’s a lovely love tale and it’s with Sony TV, which is like going home for me because my previous project with them was “Beyhadh.”

Kushal said that his role is a composite of several others he has played in the past while discussing himself.

The love story depicted in “Barsatein,” according to Kushal, who appeared in the online series “Bebaakee,” is really genuine and realistic. “It’s a love story set in a newsroom that explores the conflict between two obstinate people, Reyansh and Aradhana.”

“I have knowledge about production and know what will make a good story,” the 38-year-old actor who is also trying his hand at producing remarked. I’ve had first-hand experience with production, and on a few occasions I’ve advised the production staff on what to do and what not to do, which is advantageous for all parties. I have a tendency to want to be a producer.

He also said that he is now writing a web series screenplay for production.

The first episode of “Barsatein-Mausam Pyaar Ka” will air on Sony Entertainment Television on Monday.
