Contract Between BTS And K-Pop Label Big Hit Music Extended

The K-pop boy band phenomenon BTS has just had its deal with Big Hit Music, a subsidiary of the massive Hybe label in Korea, extended.

The group pledged to “remain together in 2025 and beyond” in a statement announcing the agreements.

According to a press statement from Big Hit Music, “The board of BigHit Music all agreed to renew the exclusive contracts of BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.”

Jin and J-Hope from BTS are now doing their required military duty in South Korea, and Suga is getting ready to follow them on September 22.

Although K-pop artists and K-drama performers sometimes get off with a lighter sentence since they are often assigned tasks relating to sanitization, cooking, cleaning, engineering, or medicine in order to prevent any face harm, military conscription is necessary in South Korea for up to 28 months at a minimum.

According to Deadline, neither the duration of the agreement nor its financial terms were disclosed.

In a statement, Hybe said, “With the renewal of their contracts, we are looking forward to supporting BTS’ group activities expected in 2025,” adding, “Hybe and Bighit Music will provide all support necessary to continue to expand and elevate BTS’ presence.”

Taking into consideration each member’s military service, the corporation will sign each person in turn. The military hiatus for BTS is anticipated to run until 2025 once all seven members have finished their required duty over the following couple of years.

The K-pop girl trio Black Pink is now receiving attention from the K-pop community after completing its ‘Born Pink’ global tour, which included many stadium appearances in the United States and a headline performance at Coachella.
