‘Country of Blind’ director on web series ‘Shakkar Masala’: ‘Wanted To Offer Something Memorable’

The critically acclaimed filmmaker Rahhat Shah Kazmi is returning with a Hindi comedy web series named “Shakkar Masala,” calling it a labor of love and commitment after garnering a great deal of praise for “Country of Blind.”

Rahhat is the series’ creator, showrunner, writer, and producer; Shoib Naksh Shah is the show’s director. The series is based on a tale by Leo Tolstoy.

 

A dispute over a hen’s egg that at first glance seems to be straightforward is turned into a full-fledged family conflict in “Shakkar Masala.”

 

They are so bitterly opposed to one another that they are willing to risk everything to maintain their rivalry.

 

Rahhat expressed the following while speaking on the same subject: “Creating ‘Shakkar Masala’ has been a labor of love and commitment. After “Country of Blind” was a hit, we wanted to provide something really special and unforgettable.

 

“The plot begins with a simple egg and develops into an epic conflict between two families. It is a special combination of humor and drama. It is obvious how much work and dedication our team put into this project, he remarked.

 

Rahhat said, “We wanted to create something different from the market’s already-existing material, and I think we’ve done that. Our ingenuity and diligence led to the creation of “Shakkar Masala.”

 

Faizan Khan, J. R. Sagar, Shadab Khan, Sonaal Shunail, Ajay Waguzari, Dimple Rani, Karishma Thakur, Vijay Kumar Malla, Umesh Singh, Simriti Sharma, Himanshu Sabgotra, Upendra Sharma, and Simran Bhat are among the ensemble cast members of “Shakkar Masala.”
