Day 14 Box Office Collection: Animal, Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Approaches ₹ 500 Crore

New Delhi: Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is dominating the movie office, and how. The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is shattering records every day. The film aims to surpass the ₹ 500-crore milestone, having already joined the ₹ 400-crore club in only ten days. According to Sacnilk, Animal earned ₹ 8.75 crore on Day 14 at the domestic box office.

On the thirteenth day, Animal, a film about a kid seeking retribution for an assault on his father, made ₹10 crore (in all languages). With this, Animal has now earned ₹ 476.84 crore in total. An Animal is a fantastic ensemble cast that includes Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Triptii Dimri, with Ranbir portraying Ranvijay Singh Balbir.
Bobby Deol, who played the character of “Animal ka enemy” Abrar Haque in the movie, spoke out about the part after it became wildly successful. The actor claimed that he saw his role as a guy who has experienced childhood trauma rather than as a villain. Abrar was called a “family man” by Bobby Deol, who made his big-screen comeback with Animal four years after leaving the industry. Bobby Deol said, “I didn’t think of my character as a villain,” in an interview with AajTak. I envisioned my character as a little youngster who lost his voice due to the trauma he suffered from seeing his grandpa commit suicide. He vows to get revenge for his grandfather’s death. He values his family greatly. He has three spouses and is a romantic as well. He is capable of both killing and dying for his family.

Speaking on the violence shown in the film, Bobby Deol said, “The characters in this film have awakened the animal within them.” All of them resemble animals. That explains the violence. This is a narrative about father-son interactions, family turmoil, and family dynamics. It is an image of what goes on in a community. Undoubtedly, violence of such sort and similar actions are produced visually to pique people’s interest, but they also occur in our society.

Saibal Chatterjee, a film reviewer, rated Animal 1.5 stars. He commented, “Ranbir Kapoor delivers a powerful performance that is supported with customary elan by Anil Kapoor,” in regards to the actor’s performance. But the two performers’ efforts are wasted since the movie is mostly driven by questionable methods and impulses. As the two are hawking their goods, you should turn away.
