Deepfake Trend Is A “Breach Of One’s Privacy,” According To Bhumi Pednekar

While promoting her next film, Bhakshak, Bhumi Pednekar has joined other celebrities in voicing grave concerns over the disturbing surge of deepfake videos.

She expressed her unease over these concerning occurrences in an interview with India Today, calling them a “invasion of privacy.” The actress expressed her sympathies to others who have gone through similar trying times and expressed her desire for workable ways to deal with this developing problem.

“It is not just a breach of one’s privacy but also basic rights and safety especially as a woman,” said the Thank You for Coming actress. I can’t even begin to think how it must feel to see such improper use of your images in public. It’s such a violation, and my heart really goes out to anybody who has experienced it. I sincerely hope that there is a firm, harsh remedy that can be put into place immediately.

In the past, deepfake technology was discussed by Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, who are presently promoting their new movie Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.
