Deepika Padukone: “We Are Beyond Luck”; “Any Special Appearance For Shah Rukh Khan”

Shah Rukh Khan’s acclaimed film “Jawan” has established itself as an unstoppable force at the box office. In addition to the much awaited on-screen reunion of the famed “Om Shanti Om” couple, Deepika Padukone had a significant part in an extended cameo in this Atlee-directed film. Fans and journalists alike showered Deepika with praise for her performance. The gifted actress spoke about working with SRK in a recent interview.

We are each other’s lucky charm, Deepika remarked in an interview with The Week. However, we are beyond fortunate. We see one another as belonging to ourselves… One of the few individuals with whom he is open is me. There is so much mutual respect and trust, and I believe that good fortune is the icing on the cake.

She said, “Whether it was arithmetic in school or the numerals in Pathaan, I’ve never been attracted by numbers. Just the fact that people and movie theaters were alive again made me joyful. I was quite appreciative of that.

The actress said, “I wanted 83 to be an homage to women who support their spouses’ success. That’s why I wanted to be a part of it. My mum did it in front of me. Ibis was created as a tribute to the spouses who give up things to further their husbands’ jobs. Other than that, if Shah Rukh Khan makes any special appearances, I will be there. Likewise for Rohit Shetty.

For those who are unaware, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have worked together on a number of popular movies, including “Om Shanti Om,” “Happy New Year,” “Chennai Express,” and “Pathaan.” Their successful on-screen chemistry and widespread appeal among viewers were highlighted by the box office achievements of their movie collaborations.
