During her master’s program in London, Twinkle Khanna remembers that nobody in the class knew who she was. “I had to stand up and introduce myself.”

After completing her master’s degree in fiction writing at Goldsmiths, University of London, actor-turned-author Twinkle Khanna has confessed that not a single person in her class knew who she was. Twinkle said that she ‘had to develop a bio, get up and present myself’ in an interview with Hello Magazine.

Twinkle claims she was unknown in Goldsmiths.
“I don’t think anyone in my class did,” Twinkle said. The fact that there were no other Indians there, save from a single girl from Chicago who was of Kashmiri descent, made it favorable. I had to make a bio, go up, and introduce myself, just like everyone else. I needed to think of a literary joke with my name. Thankfully, The Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri has a character called Twinkle. That turned into the ideal punchline.”

Twinkle discusses establishing acquaintances in London.
She said, “I was concerned about who I would have lunch with and who I would stroll around the halls with. Three of us were given presentations by the professor, so we all agreed to go to lunch together. We hit it off right away, and I never ate lunch by myself again. I got to know a lot of wonderful new people.

Following Twinkle’s graduation ceremony
Twinkle posted a video of her graduation ceremony on her Instagram account last month. “And here it is. The day of graduation. I feel like I started at Goldsmiths years ago, and I feel like it was yesterday. This day is even better than I could have anticipated since it’s sunny, I’m wearing a beautiful sari, and my family is here. At some point, horizontal growth is the most convenient path to take, but we still need to push ourselves to expand in a variety of different ways @goldsmithsuol.”

She also shared a photo of herself posing for the camera with her husband, actor Akshay Kumar. “In an homage to Master Raju, I can finally call myself Master Twinkle:) @goldsmithsuol,” she wrote as the post’s caption. She had gone to the graduation ceremony with Akshay.

Akshay praised his wife for being a “superwoman” in a post on X. “I questioned if you meant it when you told me two years ago that you wanted to start school again. However, I realized I had married a superwoman the day I saw you working so hard and juggling a full-fledged student life with your job, house, kids, and me. On this day of your graduation, Tina, I too wish I had studied a little bit more so I could express to you how proud I am of you. “All my love and congratulations,” the actor wrote on X.

Concerning Twinkle
In 2022, Twinkle enrolled in a college in the UK. She used to be an actress and was in movies like Mela, Jodi No. 1, Baadshah, Barsaat, and Mela. Her book Welcome To Paradise was just released. After more than 23 years of marriage, Twinkle and Akshay recently celebrated their anniversary. Son Aarav and daughter Nitara are their children.
