Ex-Wife of Kamal Haasan: “My Ex-Husband Is The Master Of Charm And Disguise”

A well-known actor in the Indian film business, Kamal Haasan is well-known for his blockbuster movies and his regular media appearances owing to his personal life and sometimes contentious statements. The celebrity is often praised for his endearing personality and alluring grin. Vani Ganapathy, his ex-wife, provided a new dimension to the story when she discussed these traits from her point of view.

They appeared together in the 1975 movie Melnattu Marumagal, and they later got married in 1978. Sadly, their marriage, which lasted little over ten years, ended in divorce in 1988. For many years, Vani kept a stony quiet about their personal affairs. However, the floodgates opened in 2015 when Kamal Haasan said during an interview that his divorce with Vani had put him in danger of becoming bankrupt.

Vani Ganapathy asked a pertinent question during a media interview on Kamal Haasan’s apparent resistance to moving forward. She said, “We’ve been divorced for 28 years,” to explain her feelings. Vani Ganapathy stressed that she wanted to speak out because she didn’t want people to think that the only reason she was financially stable was because of the alimony she got from Kamal Haasan. She made it obvious that her silence was not to be taken for approval. She acknowledged alimony existed but opted to keep the intimate information hidden.

She said, “He even refused to give me any old appliances from our shared apartment. What was I supposed to anticipate from a guy like that? She did, however, make it clear that Kamal Haasan’s assertion that alimony was the cause of his bankruptcy was untrue. What legal system in the world has ever caused someone to declare bankruptcy due to alimony, she wondered? That really surprised me when I read it. Although a lot has happened since I quit the marriage, it’s possible that his ego was bruised. He might have just highlighted the current financial problem and changed the subject.

Vani remarked that Kamal has the capacity to charm his way through any circumstance after 12 years of marriage. He won’t respond to a question if he doesn’t want to, she observed.
