Nargis Fakhri, sporting a summery ensemble complete with a hat and sunglasses, couldn’t wait to board a boat near the Gateway of India for an early sailing lesson. The actress loved the wind and peace of the seashore while posing exclusively for the Bombay Times. “I like sailing. When you are sailing and the ocean is all around you, it is quite tranquil and soothing.

You like being in the presence of Mother Nature and having time to yourself. Sailing gives me a feeling of freedom. Sunscreen should always be used, and sailing is best done at dawn or sunset, according to her.
Although there was potential for sailing in the Big Apple, the Rockstar actress, who is from New York, admits she has never attempted it. She says, “I went sailing for the first time in Greece in 2007.” That is my preferred sailing location. In Greece, I made a lot of acquaintances, many of whom had boats. That’s how my passion for sailing got started. Thus, if boats are out of your price range, make sure you have pals who can (laughs).

Nargis makes a parallel between the yacht’s rough seas and life’s ups and downs. something she has also encountered in her professional life. She first appeared in Bollywood with Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar and went on to feature in movies such as Madras Café, Main Tera Hero, Housefull 3, and most recently, the online series Tatlubaaz. She believes that today, directors are seeing her in a new light. “I played a role in my last show, Tatlubaaz, that I never thought I could.” I wore stunning saris and a desi appearance. It was a demanding job,” she continues.

Regarding her personal life, the actress, who is now in a relationship, responds, “Marriage is something that does not define me.” Right now, in my life, I couldn’t be happier. It’s not even anything I consider, whether it occurs or not. It’s been more about fresh experiences throughout my life. My main goal in life is to experience all that it has to offer.
