Faye Fantarrow, a British singer-songwriter, dies at the age of 21 after being diagnosed with a brain tumor

On Saturday, British singer-songwriter Faye Fantarrow passed away. Her mother, Pam Fantarrow, acknowledged that she had passed away. Age 21 was Faye. In September 2022, she received a rare glioma brain tumor diagnosis. At home, she passed away.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Faye has twice fought leukemia after learning she had cancer at the ages of 8 and 13.

Dave Stewart, a member of the Eurythmics, produced Faye’s self-titled EP. In February, he supervised the publication of the seven-song album ‘AWOL’ via his label, Bay Street Records, as per the same site. He also signed Fantarrow, a musician from his native Sunderland, England.

“I can’t put into words how devastated I was when, just after spending an amazing creative time with Faye last summer making her debut album, Faye found out she had this very aggressive brain tumour,” said Dave in a statement lamenting the death of Faye.

He said, “Faye was a genuine artist in every way, full of fun and humor and sharp as a razor. Being with her and seeing her in action were unforgettable experiences that will live forever in my memory. It was a blessing for me to meet Faye and her mother Pam, two people working together to fight for Faye’s life against all obstacles. Seeing their courage and decency has been both upsetting and lovely, and I’m sad Faye’s brilliance was only seen by the world for a very little period of time. She is one of the all-time greats, a northern girl whose poetry and songs set the world on fire. I cherished her dearly.

Faye was named One to Watch by BBC Music Introducing for the uninitiated, and in 2021, she also took home the Alan Hull Songwriting Award.
