Gadar 2 grosses $400 million at the box office in only 12 days, starring Sunny Deol

Gadar 2 is still doing well at the box office twelve days after its premiere. The movie starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel has already made more than $400 million at the Indian box office.

According to reports, on Tuesday, August 22, Gadar 2 brought in Rs 11.50 crore in India. The film, which was directed by Anil Sharma, earlier made Rs 284.63 crore in its first week. On its second Friday, it brought in Rs 20.50 crore, and on the next Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, it brought in Rs 31.07 crore, Rs 38.9 crore, and Rs 13.50 crore, respectively. With this, the movie’s overall revenue has reached Rs 400.10 crore.

Gadar 2 has also surpassed the Rs 500 crore mark at the international box office. According to Business Standard, the Sunny Deol-starring movie had a global total of Rs 507 crore.

Gadar 2 was released on August 11 and stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. It is an authorised remake of the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The 1971 Indo-Pak War serves as the setting for Gadar 2. In the follow-up, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s characters Tara Singh and Sakeena are happily married, while Charan Jeet Singh, who was portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma in the first film’s child part, is now an adult. Their lives are perfect, then Charan Jeet ends himself in Pakistan due to a change of circumstances. Later, Tara Singh goes back to Pakistan to save his kid.

Many famous people have appreciated the movie, including Kartik Aaryan and Akshay Kumar. Recently, director Karan Johar expressed his admiration for the movie and said that it had “blown everyone’s mind.” Gadar has completely blown everyone’s minds since, despite being released in 2001, it is still smashing records today. In addition to this, the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director jokingly said that he would text the whole film business and inform them that “this is how it’s done” when asked who he would contact if he hypothetically had Sunny’s phone.
