Govinda admits he rejected movies costing 100 crore rupees

Even though Govinda doesn’t appear in many films these days, he was a great star of Hindi cinema in the 1990s. Aankhen, Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Dulhe Raja, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Partner are just a few of Govinda’s big hits. The actor recently discussed the cause of his absence from the big screen.

During a Ganesh Chaturthi media event, Govinda said that he has become quite selective about the projects he wants to work on. “I don’t readily take jobs. But I would want to inform those who believe I am not employed, “Mujhpe kripa hai Bappa ki.” Last year, I abandoned projects worth Rs 100 crore, he informed the reporters.

“I was slapping myself in front of the mirror because I was not signing any projects,” the actor stated. I declined their generous financial offers since I didn’t want to do any random parts. I’m looking for something that I’ve already done. anything on that level.

It’s interesting to note that Anil Sharma, the director of Gadar 2, initially wanted Mamta Kulkarni and Govinda to play Sakina and Tara Singh. Ameesha Patel just confirmed this. “Zee, not Mr. Anil Sharma, cast me as Sakina. Gadar has always been for me about Sunny (Deol). I was really in Gadar 1 because of Mr. Nitin Keni, and Mr. Anil Sharma preferred Mamta Kulkarni over me. Zee wanted Sunny as Tara, but Anil Sharma preferred Govinda. Yes, his and mine choices are really different.
