Imtiaz Ali reveals details about “Love Aaj Kal 3” and “Jab We Met 2.”

Films like “Highway,” “Love Aaj Kal,” “Jab We Met,” and others have made Imtiaz Ali one of Bollywood’s most talented directors.

The filmmaker is now preparing for the premiere of his biopic about Amar Singh Chamkila, which stars Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh. While everyone is very enthusiastic for the film’s premiere, the crowd is also hoping for information about some of the Ali sequels and threequels.
The fandom is enormous for both “Love Aaj Kal,” starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, and “Jab We Met,” which had Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor in the key roles.

So, the pressing topic at hand is: Will the director release these films’ next installments?

Alright, not at all. Not “Jab We Met 2” or “Love Aaj Kal 3,” at least not yet. I’m not sure whether I should ever create a sequel, but we’ll see,” Imtiaz Ali stated in a conversation with Pinkvilla.
He continued by saying he never says never. But as of right now, there are no plans for these films. He has three scripts that he really wants to get started on at the same time.
Cinema enthusiasts may enjoy “Chamkila,” which will be accessible for streaming on OTT starting on April 12, 2024, until he provides another update on “Jab We Met 2.” Imtiaz discussed his decision to go with OTT instead of the theatre for “Chamkila,” saying that one has to test new ideas when they are introduced. Even though he always imagines his work on the big screen since he is a director and loves movies, he thinks it would still be okay if the picture were released on OTT.
