In response to the “Adipurush” debacle, Saif Ali Khan declares, “I am not a star enough to pull off anything.”

‘Adipurush’, the highly anticipated film of 2023, directed by Om Raut, did not do well at the box office. In a recent interview, star Saif Ali Khan touched on his unhappiness with the film’s reaction a few months after its premiere.

Saif Ali Khan made it clear in an interview with Film Companion that he doesn’t see himself as a celebrity who can make any kind of production succeed. He made reference to his 2019 Western film “Laal Kaptaan,” which was helmed by Navdeep Singh and found it difficult to break the Rs 50 lakh barrier on its first day of release.
Contributing even more, Said said that he has never really thought of himself as a star and doesn’t really want to be one, and that it’s good to be realistic. He continued by saying he didn’t want to be naive since he is a celebrity.
The actor from “Hum Tum” said that while his parents are well-known, they are still extremely grounded and everyday people. His attention has always been on the fact that there is so much more to be authentic about in life. The goal, he says, is to not be afraid of failure. “That was a brave choice,” others comment. You mention Adipurush, for instance. People speak about hazards, but it’s not really a risk if someone falls on his face. It’s part of the strategy that people need to have a couple of them as well. They have to accept it, feel horrible, and go on to the next one, saying, “Nice try, but bad luck.”
While this was going on, Om Raut’s “Adipurush,” a Ramayana adaption starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in the key characters, premiered to a sizable box office total in the first three days but struggled to draw in viewers in the following weeks.
